How to create rolling booking on Student Suite?
- Step 1: Click on the ‘Create Booking' button next to the search bar at the top.
- Step 2: Select the student
- Step 3: Select the 'Academic Year' and 'Tenancy Option' with the 'Rolling' tag
- Step 4: Select the 'Room Type'
- Note: Only the room type with 'Rolling Rate' will be allowed to choose. You could go refresh price cache in flexibility control to make sure the rolling rate is effective.
- Step 5: Confirm and create booking with the configured rolling rate
- Note: Same as 'Fixed Term' Booking, staff can be allowed to select service and instalment plan for student, after that only student can fill in the information and sign the contract to confirm a rolling booking
How to create rolling booking on Student Portal?
Step 1: Select the Room Type
- Step 2: Select the Tenancy Option with no end date
- If the Tenancy Option that is rolling with fixed start date to end date, then on Student Portal, we will only show as 'From' start date before selection
- NOTE: Only the room type with 'Rolling Rate' will be allowed to choose. You could go refresh price cache in flexibility control to make sure the rolling rate is effective.
- NOTE: If the TenancyOption that is rolling with flexible start date to end date, then on student portal, we will show the date restriction and start to end date before selection
- Step 3: Select the Available Room
- After selection, there is no 'total price' and 'end date' displayed for rolling booking
- Step 4: Select the Installment Plan
- If there is ‘Monthly' instalment plan' configurated in Student Suite, then students will see the 'Monthly' installment plan first for rolling booking
- Otherwise, students will see the 'Full' installment plan by default.
- Step 5: Input Personal Detail
- This step is same as current 'fixed term' booking
- Step 6: Sign the Contract
- This step is same as current 'fixed term' booking
- Step 7: Make Payment
- This step is same as current 'fixed term' booking
- Step 8: Confirm Booking
- There is no 'end date' displayed for rolling booking on the booking list page or booking details page when the booking is first booking confirmed
