What kind of amendments can you make to a rolling booking?

  • Change Bed

    • You can only change bed when it is the first rolling booking before check-in
    • In all the rest of the cases, the system will not allow you to change beds.
  • Change Tenancy Option
    • You can only change tenancy option when it is the first rolling booking before check-in
  • Change Tenancy Option End Dates
    • You can only move the end date forward (should still after the tenancy option start date), but not backward to extend the tenancy option
  • Change Service
    • You can be allowed to change service all the time
  • Change Installment
    • You can be allowed to change Installment plan all the time


What will happen after the amendment？

  • Change Bed or Change Tenancy Option
    • The existing booking will be cancelled and new rolling booking will be created with the new bed or tenancy option
  • Change Tenancy Option End Dates
    • After you move the end date forward for the current booking, the continuous booking after(if there has) will all be cancelled, and the indefinite 'Blocked' bed status for this bed will also be removed
    • On stuent portal, the student will see the selected end date displayed on current booking once the booking amendment is confirmed.
  • Change Service
    • If current booking status is Booking Confirmed or Booking Completed, then the logic of changing service for rolling booking is the same with the one for fixed term booking
    • If current booking status is Resident, then changing service on current booking will create a new booking. The new booking will be considered as the rollover booking of current booking, therefore
      • System will not reminder staff to rollover booking on the current booking, instead reminder will happen on the new booking
      • System will also automatically check-in the new booking and check-out the current booking at the end of the current booking's new end date
      • On student portal, the end date of the current booking will be displayed, while the end date of the new booking will be hidden.
  • Change Installment
    • the logic of changing installment for rolling booking is the same with the one for fixed term booking
